Ionosit MicroSpand is a base material for composite and amalgam restorations that can be used to block out undercuts in inlay/onlay restorations. Ionosit MicroSpand is a patented, single component, light-cured base material that expands to compensate for polymerization contraction. The advanced chemistry of Ionosit MicroSpand forms a "sensitivity shield" that effectively eliminates micro-leakage and recurrent caries, and guards against discomfort and pain.
Features and Benefits
Micro-expansion agent
- Eliminates internal stresses caused by polymerization shrinkage.
- Virtually eliminates micro-leakage and sensitivity.
Bonds to dentin and composite
- Enhances the seal by eliminating the "zipper effect" that occurs when a composite shrinks and tears away from the dentin.
Fluoride release
- Helps eliminate recurrent caries.
Bacteriostatic
- Limits bacteria growth.
Light cured
- Provides unlimited working time.
Radiopaque
- Visable on an X-Ray.
Single component
- No mixing.
